The Donkey Attitude

The week(s) has not been good for me. Going through some emotional struggles due to work issue... Prayed hard for God's help.

Below is a forward email from my ex-colleague. So close to heart.

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quietened down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL of the story :

Life is going to shovel 'dirt' on you, all kinds of 'dirt'. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up. Life is our greatest Teacher!

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from all evils (especially selfishness and hatred) -Learn to Forgive and Forget and move on with goodness of heart.
2. Free your mind from all unhappiness and worries - so that there is no fear, no anxiety and no sorrow - Learn to Live Life instead of worrying about Life.
3. Have contentment and Love then learn to appreciate what you have in Life more and more.
4. Be willing to share and help via your willingness to Give more.
5. Avoid having Expectations that can make you miserable. (Expect to be appreciated; to be Loved; to be promoted; to be treated as equal... etc.

When was my last post dated... APRIL~ muhahaha!

I did my first ever performance appraisal last month and have just received my first (#1) performance bonus in my life. My boss said she is going to give me a good one. I am not so sure if it is a good one but according to my colleague, based on the percentage I received it is consider good.

Hmmm~ am pretty fat this month! Of course, I did not forget to return to HIM who blessed me.

At times, I simply feel so blessed that I am kinda guilty because I don't know what I can do in return... I owe HIM alot and I want to return but not just in monetary terms.

HACKED

Couple of days ago, I have problem sending out email using my Yahoo. Got so fed-up! So my ex-colleague advised me to change to another email provider and set my Yahoo Mail to automatically forward all incoming emails to this other account.

And, a few minutes ago, I found out that my Yahoo Mail was being hacked.

My inbox is EMPTIED~

And this hacker is happily using my Yahoo chat, initiated to chat with WC. Luckily, Detective WC is very alert! He find it fishy when he realised that the "current" was not right (he meant frequency). So, he prompted a few more questions to the hacker and got me to change my password. Of course, also to alert Yahoo.

I received a mail from Yellow Pages. Is a renewal contract for listing in the publication. Together with that, they also posted $2 for me to get myself some coffee, maybe.

I cannot believe people actually mail out money.

Please Don't Push

Been trying to be invloved, maybe they are too minor to be noticed. At times, things have to done at a comfortable level. Thinking hard may not help the situation. Or maybe all these are excuses, maybe pushing does help though not comfortable.
